San Teodoro - North East Sardinia
About San Teodoro
San Teodoro is one of the most popular holiday resorts in the North East cost of Gallura (if you are planning to visit, make sure you book one of the hotels in San Teodoro before the crowds) for the untouched beauty of its beaches and the cristal clear water of the sea – just to name few that are absolutely worth a visit during your time here are Punta Molara, Capo Coda Cavallo, Marina di li Impostu, Punta li l’Aldia, L’Isuledda and Cala Brandinchi.
The North East coast of Gallura starts at San Teodoro with 3kms of sandy beach, named Cinta beach, which is famous for its white powdery sand. Cinta beach sits close to San Teodoro wetland area and the sea here stretches the length of this beautiful strip of pure, fine white sand, which is protected from the northern winds from the rock of Punta Sabbatino. However beware it can get crowded in the high season (July and August) when all hotels in San Teodoro are bustling with holidaymakers. San Teodoro’s vast wetland is also one of the most important wetlands in Sardinia and hosts an interesting and intriguing variety of flora and fauna.
At the base of the wild headland of Monte Pedrosu is the beautiful Cala Girgolu, in front of which stands the stunning Isle of Tavolara, breathtaking!
